Dan Zaharoni has spent the past 25+ years as an attorney, entrepreneur and real estate developer. Licensed by the State of California as a lawyer, real estate broker and General Contractor (among other construction trades), Mr. Zaharoni has developed properties in both the commercial and residential spaces since 1994, both with and without his construction company, Cal Building & Maintenance Industries (“CBMI”).
As a principal and Chief Development Officer of Urban Commons (which spun off its real estate holdings in a Singaporean IPO in June, 2019, through a REIT called Eagle Hospitality Trust), Mr. Zaharoni had a hand in the development, construction and renovation of more than 15 hotels across the country, including branded hotels such as Sheraton, Renaissance, Holiday Inn, Westin and the world famous Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.
Mr. Zaharoni entered the cannabis industry upon meeting Jayson Quinones and Kintu Patel at their Santa Ana-based From The Earth store in 2016. Joining his legal, real estate and financial experience with Messrs. Quinones’ and Patel’s operational expertise, the three of them embarked on a journey to turn From The Earth from a small regional player into a household name in the exploding cannabis industry. Mr. Zaharoni acts as the Chief Executive Officer of From The Earth, Inc. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley and Loyola Law School and resides in Beverly Hills with his two children.
